RIDGELAND, Miss. — Earlier this year, Southern AgCredit and Louisiana Ag Credit submitted a merger application to the Farm Credit Administration, which was approved. In October, stockholders approved the merger, which becomes effective December 1, 2010.

The two associations have been jointly managed by the Southern AgCredit management team since August 2009.
