Southern AgCredit Donates to Red Cross’ Tornado Relief Effort
FLOWOOD, Miss. — Southern AgCredit, ACA and its employees recently donated $3,190 to the American Red Cross to help victims of the deadly tornado that ripped through rural Mississippi on April 24. “Working with rural people and traveling the country roads every day, Southern AgCredit’s employees witnessed the destruction caused by the tornado in the territory we serve, and they wanted to help those in need,” said Joe Hayman, chief executive officer of Southern AgCredit. “Our donation to the Red Cross’ Mississippi Tornado Relief Effort was made possible by our employees’ generous contributions, along with matching funds from Southern AgCredit,” Hayman added. “Our hearts go out to our fellow Mississippians who have been impacted by the storm.” Hayman noted that the powerful tornado cut across the heart of Southern AgCredit’s lending territory and was on the ground for nearly 150 miles.
